FAQs

General Questions

I offer real estate photography and videography but I encourage you to look at my services page.

I serve the greater Southern California area, including counties such as Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. Please remember that locations outside of our 25-mile radius from 91504 may be subject to additional travel charges of $1 per mile.

I recommend scheduling your appointment at least a week in advance, providing enough time for you or your seller to prepare the house for the photoshoot.

If necessary, we can accommodate same-day bookings, subject to our availability.

Absolutely! You can access our checklist by downloading it from the following link: Printable Checklist

This checklist will help ensure that your home/listing is in top-notch condition and ready for the photoshoot.

I can enter the property through a lockbox or hidden key if needed, but I won’t travel offsite to pick up a key for entry due to time constraints.

I accept multiple forms of payment. You may pay with cash at the time of the shoot. Otherwise, you can make payment with most major credit cards online through PayPal via my invoicing system. Your media will not be available for download until payment is processed.

Under the standard license, you have the right to use the media provided by Rick Ryan Photography for your real estate listings on platforms like Zillow, Redfin, and your website. However, you are not allowed to sell or transfer the media to any third party. Please look at my licensing  page for more details.

Upon arrival, please ensure that your property is photo-ready. If you need to reschedule a shoot, kindly provide a minimum 48-hour notice; otherwise, a non-refundable charge equivalent to the %30 deposit will apply. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I offer basic photo packages that are licensed for MLS posting only. For listings on platforms like Airbnb or VRBO, it’s best to purchase a commercial photo package from the start to ensure the images meet the desired style and quality, and to avoid any potential misunderstandings.

It’s possible, but please note that I am not a photo storage service. Normally, I retain images online for up to 30 days. After that, it becomes your responsibility to manage image storage. If you still need the images to be reuploaded, an additional fee may apply.

Yes, rain or shine, I will be there for the appointment. If exterior photos need to wait due to bad weather, I will return at a later time to capture those shots.

Examples of bad weather include heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, snowstorms, or any weather conditions that could pose a risk to the equipment or individuals involved in the shoot.

Yes, I am insured.

Photography Questions

Certainly! I personally edit and Photoshop each image to ensure your property looks its best.

The length of photoshoots is determined by the size of the property. The time breakdown is as follows:

  • Properties 0 – 1500 sf ≈ 1 hour
  • Properties 1501 – 2500 sf ≈ 1.5 hours
  • Properties 2501 – 3500 sf ≈ 1.75 hours
  • Properties 3501 – 5000 sf ≈ 2 hours
  • Properties 5500 – 7000 sf ≈ 2.5 hours

Please note that these estimated times assume the property is showtime ready upon my arrival, and no issues arise on-site.

Photos are delivered within 24-30 hours from the start of the photoshoot.

All photo packages are exclusively delivered online through Google Drive or Dropbox. You’ll receive a link to download your images.

I recommend saving the photos to your local computer or making a copy on your personal Google Drive. As I am not responsible for the storage of your photos. (I can re-upload upon request for a $50 fee.)

Videography Questions

You can expect your videos to be ready within 48 to 72 hours from the start of the video shoot.

All videos are delivered through Google Drive via a download link sent to your email. Please note, I do not handle video uploads to your social media accounts.

I utilize a royalty-free music platform. Feel free to share your preferred music genre, and I’ll provide you with 2-5 options to choose from, allowing you to pick the perfect one for your video.
